About The JLD Institute

The JLD Institute, an institute of the University of KwaZulu Natal with special focus on land research, community development programmes which includes skills and capacity development. The core business of this institute is research and to capacitate unemployed women and youth with critical skills, knowledge, and resources to re-enter the employment industry, as well as to be established as emerging entrepreneurs.

  4. Aviation: 50 youth trained on Private Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence

Our approach to education is creating sustainability and security through learning programmes that are designed to improve productivity and performance in the employment as well as in the business sector. We have as our ultimate goal, a desire to enhance employability and enable entrepreneurship. As the JLD Institute, we are strategically positioned to offer skills development programmes as short courses ranging up to full qualifications like Certificate or Diploma Courses.
